lost-highway-to-mars asked: Sorry but how is my tattoo 'shitty?' It's just rude and I wish there was a way of reporting your bullying to Tumblr.
maybe you could if i was actually bullying anyone
This person is going to have a difficult life if she cries about being bullied every time she gets criticized. In the real world you won’t be able to report everything to the grown-ups; you will have to suck it up and deal with it.
lajakaryastark asked: I have a quick question, what are things to think about when getting your first tattoo? Like what makes a sucky tattoo and what makes a good tattoo? I'll be getting my tattoo in a few days and I just would like to know
1) Design. Do you want something original or do you want a design that you saw on Pinterest? The best tattoo designs are created by the tattoo artist and use input from the client. Check out @newtattooworkers on IG to see what good tattoos look like.
2) A skilled tattooer. This is as important as #1. Educate yourself so you can tell the difference between good lines and bad lines, shading that gives the tattoo depth versus shading that looks flat and lifeless, and proper tattoo proportions (especially important for realistic tattoos).
3) tattoo placement. Flat surfaces are best for realistic designs (portraits, pinups), and for designs with lots of straight lines.
There are so many other things to consider, but the main thing is to do your homework. Check out lots of different portfolios from artists. Actually walk into different shops. A good tattoo will cost money, so don’t go for the lowest bidder. Good luck, and send pics after you get your piece.
